Today we’re delighted to announce that Permutive has raised $75m Series C funding led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with previous investors EQT Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and ACE & Company also participating. It’s a massive milestone for the company, made possible by the people at Permutive and the trust and confidence of our customers.
Our mission as a company is to rebuild data in advertising to protect user privacy. We couldn’t be more excited to have SoftBank joining us on this journey, alongside the continued support of our existing investors. Together, they share our vision for a privacy-first web with publishers at its core.
We’re big believers in the central role publishers will play in a privacy-first advertising ecosystem. Today our customers target billions of ad impressions every month through Permutive, and over the last two years alone we’ve seen that number grow 20x. This investment enables us to double down on our publishers’ growth. We’ll be building new data products and tools for publishers to take to market; investing in our privacy infrastructure to power their growth across channels like connected TV and mobile; and ensuring our publishers are well equipped to meet the regulatory needs and opportunities of their local markets.
We’ve also seen first-hand the rapid shift in advertiser spend into publisher-owned and -sold ecosystems, which provide consented data and are safe from cookie deprecation. This funding enables us to continue scaling our Audience Platform with advertisers, equipping them and publishers with the tools to build and scale the direct relationships necessary to navigate this shift.
This round comes at a critical time for our industry: existing tools are breaking, and privacy is forcing digital advertising to change. Today, our patented on-device technology enables that change, running on over a billion devices every month. With this funding, we’ll create a global privacy-first infrastructure required to scale trusted publisher–advertiser relationships in this new world. Built to protect user privacy and instil trust, transparency and efficiency into digital ad spend.
The funding round is a huge milestone as we head into our next growth phase, made possible through the dedication of our people and the continued trust and support our customers place in us. I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has been part of Permutive’s success and embraced a vision for a privacy-first future for digital advertising.
